Hello

I have a black moor that has only one eye. I bought it like that from the
pet store.

A while ago I observed that the remaining eye developed a white-blur color,
that
seemed to grow inside his eye (like a heated car's windshield in cold
weather... you get
the point...)

Now I think he cannot see anymore because of that. Its totally opaque, and
his eye
is swollen.

Is this a disease, and if yes, how can I treat it ?

I have another black moor in the same tank, he seems ok...

Thanks very much.

check the water parameters: pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrates
add 1 teaspoon salt per 5 gallons, no additives, dissolve first, add slowly.
moors have a lot of trouble with eyes. if the fish is otherwise healthy, nothing can
be done. Ingrid

What do you mean by "if the fish is otherwise healthy, nothing can
be done" ?

Thanks

if that is all that is wrong with the fish, then nothing should be done. if the fish
is sick, it could be the slime coat is thick and then treatment is called for.
