I woke up this morning to find that one eye was missing on my oranda.
im very nervous. should i quarentine it. what could of caused the eye to
just come out. i did not actually see the eye come out.
im in the middle of cycling. im at the point when amonia levels drop and
nitrite levels spike.
i change 30 % of my water every day and i have a 20gallon tnk.
i dont want to appear cold hearted but i dont want this fish in my tank
anymore

ahhhh... well it sounds like you arent changing water enough and the fish got a
terrible case of itchies and banged into something hard enough to knock its eye out.

the fish will be fine with 1 eye or even no eyes. if you got other fish in that tank
then somebody plucked the eye out. get those levels down to barely detectable.

Are there any other fish in the tank?
Any sharp objects?
