I've made the discovery that my plant destroying goldies won't touch the
Java moss! It's getting bigger and bigger and bigger....they hide in it now.
I'm actually going to have to take some out of the tank and figure out what
to do with it.

send some to me?
please? *lol*
the little bugger has damn near killed a perfectly healthy plant.
and i was told they weren't veggies.
the monster scared us last night...from about 6pm until around midnight he
didn't move...just sorta floated aimlessly...
we had to do the horrible thing of tap the side to make sure he was still
alive
sheesh
sleeping ...good lord...

I'm convinced that some of them do get lonely.
I have had goldfish who seemed totally indifferent to the presence of
other fish.
But I have a ryukin who just freaks out if he is alone. When I first
got him I put him by himself into a quarantine tank, and he either was
dashing around the tank in a terror, or he was hiding, sitting on the
bottom under the ceramic log in a funk. When he graduated to the main
tank, he perked right up and became very sociable with the other fish.
When the other fish got moved to a different tank, I thought he was a
goner-- all the old neurotic behavior returned. But nowadays he has
new friends in there with him, and from the first minute they were
introduced he came around and was perfectly happy and normal again.
What else can one conclude, except that he just hates being alone?
