Hello Fish Friendly Fokes,
We have an outdoor pond and last year we had a few baby goldfish born. Now,
one of the fry has turned white. He was the offspring of a Shubunkin (daddy)
and an Oranda (mommy). At first his colors were quite striking with more
orange than your normal Shubunkin, but now he's gone white with dark eyes.
What's up with that? It's not imperative to get an answer. I'm searching for
an answer as my children are as bewildered as I.

TIA

I've had this happen to goldfish of mine too. Sometimes beautiful orange &
white fish end up all white. It's normal & is just one of those genetic
things. Part of the fun of keeping goldfish is wondering what they'll look
like next!
