How can a fish so pretty be so rare? I'm looking for a Canadian source
for a lemon comet for my pond. Can anyone help?

Sometimes also called canary yellow goldfish. I have been trying to
find some as well. The only place I've found that lists them is in
England, i emailed them but got no answer.

I have been breeding for a true red comet for over ten years. In my trials I
have produced lemon comets. The fish you refer to is not a comet.
A yellow common goldfish won best in show some years back and is on the list of
desired fishes now.

Cam,

It is only hard to get because those of us who raise
Goldfish cull the lemon colored fish. It has only been
desirable they last few years. The other thing that
you have to remember is that what is lemon to you may
not be lemon to the breeder. You also have to keep
them for awhile to see if the color is going to stay
lemon. I have a small lemon fantail as we speak, but
it probably won't stay that color, plus I am using it
right now to keep down the mosquito larvae in a three
fry tubs.
