Got a couple tanks (30g, different dimensions) and an old refugium today for
practically nothing. The refugium is made out of acrylic, and the tanks are
glass.

All items were sitting in a garage unused for a couple years, and have
deposits of some sort on them.

Any advice on how to clean these things up? I was also planning on resealing
the tanks - should I scrape out the old sealant before applying new ones, or
just scrub the old one as best as I can before resealing?

Any advice/comments/suggestions would be appreciated!

use white vinegar and hot water, it will clean them up good as new.

I would scrub it up and see what is loose as far as the old sealant. You
probably don't need to pick it ALL out especially if it's still pliable and
adhered to the tank really well. The only place I ended up resealing on an
old tank I picked up at a garage sale was around the top rim..
