How about silcone sealant? You'd probably have to get the fungicide free
stuff though, which will no doubt come in small tubes and cost 3x as
much. Having said that, in the few places I need it, I just use bog
standard low modulus silcone sealent without killing anything off.
My local pond shop also sells black sticky stuff in a tube which would
do the job: it looks just like gutter sealent but costs rather more.
