I spent my day around my ponds doing general maintenance and
cleanup/pruning. I have neglected them this year somewhat due to my not
living in the house where they are anymore, but I still get a lot of
enjoyment out of them when I /do/ get down to check on them.
A lot of the newsgroups/email lists to which I belong have very little
traffic, a situation which is decidedly /not/ the norm. I'm just glad I
don't have those virus/worm/trojan problems and will be /so/ glad when
more of my friends are immune, too.

just finished teaching, handed in grades tuesday. my course is now part of the core
curriculum and enrollment is doubled, labs are doubled, work is doubled and school
starts again August 25. sigh. it is completely revamped and there is another
teacher taking a "split" of the students, the education majors are getting special
lectures and labs that will teach them to teach science to grade school kids.
and someone asked about what was behind the screens around the pond

Wow, Ingrid, you are your very own home decorating show!
DD and I got a little carried away watching those shows this summer and started
in on the band room downstairs (formerly known as the familyroom) after we
brought home blue flexible tube lighting one of the boys said it reminded him
of 'Monster House'...
