i have some white coloured growth on my LR. the growth happened almost over
night. i tried scrapping the growth off and the particles just floats to the
surface like those paint peels. and the area beneath the growth are tender
to the touch. it's feels like it's hollow underneath.

may i know does anyone here encounters the same problem like mine. if there
is, what did u all do to rectify the problem or is it just harmless and i
can leave it alone.

Hello Elliott,

It may be sponges that are growing. A LFS near me gets in liverock
pieces which have been out of water. After a while small white sponges
form. I bought a small rock to see whether they will colour-up (with
zoo's).
Just to give you some idea of the stupid prices we have to pay in
England, the LFS sells this rock at £6/lb (say U.S. $ 10/lb.)

Regards, Fishnut.
