First, I'm not a ponder, although I want to try it next spring. Heres my
question, do you think water hyacinths would work well in a 55 gal afr.
cichlid tank, or in a sump for said tank? How much light do they need?

Also....with you guys culling plants for the winter, anyone have any
they'd send me for postage?

I kept water lettuce in my cichlid tanks for a long time. The cichlids and
other fish like it because it provided overhead cover. The lettuce grew
quite well. I'm not sure the hyacinths would work too well because they are
so big (unless you dont have a cover). I am going to try lilly pads in my
tank the next time I see them for sale at lowes.
