Lurking. :)

Planning to move one stock tank closer to the other to free
up the driveway extension for actual vehicle use (what a
concept) and make it easier to me to manage the two tanks.
Fish all made it though "winter", but we really didn't get
that much of that around here (near San Antonio TX).

Well, I could post and say that I just saw a sure sign of spring. A
mosquito hawk. Robins should be around soon. (I haven't really been
home, so maybe they already are) I will be oh so glad to see the
critters come out. (snakes, lizards, TOADS!) My pond looks dead and
icky and i am hoping i end up with some landscaping money real soon in
time to spruce up the area before the end of april toad spawning
event. (I THINK it was april) There just isn't much to talk about
right now with the pond covered and, in the DFW area, we can never be
sure when spring will arrive. I'll be glad when i can dig a larger
pond.

Got any big pond plans this year?

Keeping a low profile, mindful of the old folk tales about March (in
like a lamb, out like a lion).

If you get hit by bad weather at the end of next month, don't blame me
for saying "I told you so".

In the 50s in SE WA.
Robins all over the place and a small
hawk sitting on my fence this morning.
I have iris shoots coming up in the pond.

I've been seeing several posts per day, I'd suspect your news service
burped.

I am in Lubbock, Texas. I am starting to get rid of the dead parrots
feather from last from my streams. I left it over winter to insulate the
green roots underneath. The parrot's feather is starting to blume for
Spring. The fish are starting to show more life everyday. I have fed them
a few times to get them moving around a little. Spring fever is starting to
bit. We will have to deal with at least a couple more cold spells before
Spring sets in for good.

Working, and putting together a slide show for my presentation: The Wacky
World of Water Gardening, for the Master Gardeners' Spring Garden Day
Seminar, March 6th. Not sure what happened, but slides are messed up from
when I gave my last presentation about 18 months ago and what a pain it
will be to reorganize them. Oh to be all digitalized. :o( ~ jan
