Moved some of my live rock today, and I found what looked like a juvenile
brittle star, about 1/8th inch in diameter and arms extended was about an
inch tip to tip, white with dark marking on center. Am I right on the I.D?

Yes, it is quite possible you've discovered some baby ones in your sand. They
don't grow to be larger though, but they can propagate in ideal conditions.
They are good guys in your tank: reef-safe.
