View Full Version : Canine Yard Patrol Reporting in for Spring Season

March 30th 04, 10:51 PM
We have resumed daily missions patrolling the perimeter. Some east african
bull geese have been making low level passes daily, but several short bursts
of our sonic weapons have steered them clear of the pond. We developed a new
mission this week. When the commander leaves the bunker we run a short
mission to the pond edge to check for bogies. We have enlisted 12-14 frogs
all of which immediately dive into the pond for seal ops. when we arrive
ensuring that the commander is safe from geese, and from the marauding fish
below.

All quiet on the pond edge.

Water gardening labradors here!

We have also taken on comrades in arms in
our prosecution of Secret Squirrel.
We opened negotiations with two members of
the Black-Billed Magpie Forces to assist us in
eradication of said Secret Squirrel.
We are headquartered in the pussy willow tree
where the Magpie Forces have built a fort. Secret Squirrel's lair is deep
within the pine tree.
While confidence is high that Secret Squirrel will be captured we were dismayed
to find out that Alpha Female in the Human Headquarters has been sneaking
peanuts to Secret Squirrel and allowing him to snack on sunflower seeds when we
are taking our much deserved naps in the sun. We consider this a gross betrayal
of our mission and are plotting a counter move that will not endanger our
ongoing supply lines of kibble.

Maisy the submersible Basset Hound is looking forward to getting back into
the water.
There's nothing like enhancing that hound odour with some pond gack!

Pookie and Black Jack the watch chihuahuas here.

Again we wait until mom gets out of the room to jump up here and chime
in. Mom has been going out to the pond alot lately and has been
tossing something to those water creatures. She has been watering the
area almost daily which she must do to keep us away. She knows we
don't like water out of the hose and she must be doing something
secret out there. We are pleased that the weather is warming and we
busy ourselves with chasing birds. When is she going to get us those
brown hopping toys?? I think she called them toads?

We'll be back when we can,

Bye

No actually, I arrived about 2 years ago, I was just projecting that out a
bit to a random point to try and make it send less BV oriented. LOL.

Reporting from Wisconsin Princess the schnauzer and Dusty the
schneese. Early this afternoon we conferred with neighbor Corky the
corgie who patrols the neighborhood. We have had no recent contacts
with cats, rabbits or racoons. The squirrels are the sole source of a
good chase. Dusty has chalked up 5 rabbits on her scorecard. We have
not located the culprit who knocked the rocks in the pond. The fish
are swimming around on very warm days but soon the boss will have to
drain some water and raise the plants. Have a good summer.
