I know, I've asked this before, but I've forgotten, and my archive search
didn't turn up what I needed.
Why should one not use a canister filter (for ex. an Eheim 2320) on a
marine/reef tank?
Also, recommend a site for making sumps? I have a couple empty tanks in the
garage that I'd like to do this with, but would like to see some designs
that you guys like. I love Matt Blackford's plan
http://www.thekrib.com/Filters/trickle-blackford.html , minus the standpipe
through the bottom of the tank.
I'm going to utilize as a drain a hole that already exists in the 75 USGal
acrylic tank that ia couple inches from the top. It's been plugged, since
it's been in use for a couple years as a FW tank with the aforementioned
Eheim. I can get all supplies, but since the opening for the drain is
horizontal, I will need some kind of screen that is big enough to not plug
up quick, yet will not allow critters to be 'drained'. Suggestions on
something I can purchase or DIY for this screen?

Muchos TIA
