Compatable? Koi's and Newts

Hi

I am thinking of getting rid of a water feature that I have (small fountain,
No fish). Upon cleaning it out the other week to our suprise found that 7
newts had made their homes there.
We also have a fish pond thats home to goldfish and some rather large koi's
and was thinking about puting them in the pond.
Does anyone know if they can live together or will the kois eat them!?

If anyone has any experience or knowledge on this then i would be greatful.

If they are small enough, it is likely that the Koi will eat them. I feed my
albino channel catfish shrimp, and if my largest koi can get them before the
catfish does, they will eat them as well. I see no reason why your koi wouldn't
love to snack on some newts.
