Hey all, I recently moved my aquarium to my new apartment, and I notice a
new kind of organism which has emerged from one of my pieces of live rock.
It is a white milky cocoon looking deal with some denseness in the base of
the cocoon attached to the live rock. It is white with stuff in the middle
like something is inside of it similar to a sac of some sort. There is an
elongated tip emerging from the girth of the organism. Any comments or
speculation as to what this is would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

How big is it?
Could you describe it as a small (1cm) sponge like creature with a
crown like top? This sounds like what youre describing. Could be a sea
squirt or tunicate if it is. Do you have an angel or butterfly fish?
these kind of fish eats these, although they are probably no trouble
anyway.

I had something like that but they grew in groups of 4 and 5 but sometimes
also as just one. They grew to be about as big base size as a nickel then I
added two emerald crabs and they ate them. Now I don't get those anymore. I
found a pic on the net somewhere that said it was a type of sponge but I
can't remember now.
