Its EPDM lined 3000gal 16x12 sloped to 6ft at the 4in bottom drain
which is gravity connected to a 600gal 5x16 sloped to 2.5ft deep
settlement/veggie filter 3 55gal biofilters.Its powered with a 1/4hp
powerplus pump http://www.powerpluspumps.com/
A waterfalls and aiming some of the pump outputs straight up are my
Aerators although Im going to try the diy venturi that was posted a
couple days ago. I went with bluegills because I love them and most
lake fish are contaminated with mercury or lord knows what. I want to
eat these fish so its good they are shy and I dont get personal with
them like I did the pheasants I couldnt kill. There is a big move for
intensive urban agriculture around the world today and intensive
aquaculture is really coming along with alot of info like
http://srac.tamu.edu/ and http://msucares.com/aquaculture/index.html
and alot of others.
But I found most of the practical and realistic info about the pond
setup right here as most aquaculture setups and supplies are too big
for my backyard and wants. I need about 100 pounds of fresh fish a
year to satisfy my household needs. I hope after its been going a few
years I will be able to get it.
Pictures in a few days.
