Whew, its taken a couple months, but its almost done. Its about 18
feet by about 20 inches wide, and about a foot deep mostly. I was
lucky and had a scrap piece of liner from pool construction last year
about 20 by 4+ feet, and decided to put in a veggie filter. My
trickle towers will feed it, and it will flow into the larger pond
(ca 2000 gals) It will be filled with hyacinth, water celery, and all
sorts of other water plants (in pots, submerged, and floaters) I have
been collecting for several weeks. This is going to be fun.

It is a sort of angular 'C' shape and with the 'no room for error'
liner size needed careful positioning. I filled it with water today
but the liner needs a bit of adjustment on the outer-most side of one
of the middle turns. Dang! I am going to empty it tomorrow and
slightly reposition it. Too bad. How nice for it to have been
perfect the first time, or that I would have noticed the problem when
I was fitting and filling. It would do I suppose, but I might as
well fix it while I can and reduce the stress on the liner. A two
inch adjustment.....

The smaller pool (old jacuzzi) I have been using as a veg filter is
going to be used now as a nursery for the baby koi. There are about 20
of them, about an inch now, oh so cute and eating up a storm. I just
love watching them.

Sounds great! Lots of length for settlement and for roots to grab nutrient
and muck. Any pics?
