Hey I thought about buying some live rock from these
http://www.terrasubaqua.com/rock.html people. But I've E-mail them to find
out some more info. and have not heard back from them. Anyone here know
anything about them maybe even when there next trip will be? Or someway to
get in touch with them where they will answer?? Thanks for any help, AK

If they haven't emailed you back, I'd be suspicious. I've found that
companies with the best customer service and response time are usually the
best, period. Not always, but it's been that way for me about 99% of the
time.

As for Florida aquacultured rock, I have a 120-gallon FOWLR, and highly
recommend Gulf-View (www.gulf-view.com)

Also, click on my name (gbundersea) in my posts to see the pictures of my
rock.

I traded some emails with him a few weeks ago. Their next FL harvesting
trip is in March 9-12 with another scheduled in June. I'm trying to get
the
time to join them as a diver on the March trip but work schedules may
force that be put off until the June trip.

They dive out of the Conch Republic Divers in Tavernier FL. The shop
knows him as "The Rock Man". Apparently most of the volunteers are from
Bowling Green State Univ.

I bought 100 pounds of rock from Tim, who operates TSA.

Tim does this part-time, and basically he harvests rock from the Atlantic
and drives it up to his home in Perrysburg, OH. On our vacation, we took the
long way home through Ohio and I picked up the rock straight from his
driveway :)

Tim's a really good guy, and I think the reason he hasn't responded is
either he's diving or work got busy.

The only complaint I have is the type of rock - it's basically flat rock,
and you don't get the interesting shapes and formations that occurs with
Fiji and Tonga rock. In retrospect, I should've bought 50 lbs for my base
formations instead of 100lbs.

But, the livestock is amazing - sponges, crabs, worms, starfish ... I also
got 2 bristeworms that I removed, as well as an Arrow Crab that didn't
survive my drive home from Ohio to Chicago.

My 2 cents.
