Lighting Times?

I was wondering what time length I should run my lights for? I run compact
fluorescents at 65watts each bulb. 4 bulbs total 2 being Daylight and 2 being
blue. How long should I have the daylights on and then how long the blues?
Should I have the daylight and blues on at the same time? or have them
seperate? Right now I have the timer set to start at 8:00am and turn off at
6:00pm for both lights.

What is the proper lighting?

The blues run 1 hour before and 1 hour after the 10k bulbs. Most people run
8-12 hours total.
