Hello all,
I kept SW tanks for about 7 years but have not had one for few years now.
I have a new 55 gal tank that I plane to set up as a FO semi Aggressive
tank. In the past I had very good success with Reverse flow UG filters on
my FO tanks. I am planning in three reverse powerheads for the UG, two
Power heads in the corners for surface action and possibly a HOB Skimmer if
someone can recommend a good one. I was planning on simply using crushed
coral for substrate and the simple decorations. This is going to be a
simple tank for my work office. My plan of action is to set up the tank
with about a two inch coral bed of the UG. Cycle the tank with a handful of
Damsels. After cycle I want to add a Yellow Tang, Coral Beauty, Picasso
Trigger, Dwarf Lion. In that order. I have been doing research on the
Trigger and lion as I have never kept this species before, I have had very
good success with the other fish. Do you think this mix will work? I also
considered a Niger Trigger (spelling?) but I don't want to overload the
tank, I would rather have a few healthy fish as opposed to losing several
fish the first power outage we get :) Any input would be appreciated!!

Thanks
Stan
