Golden Orfe

Any body out there know what age/size ,conditions golden orfe need to breed.
I have a small lake /Large pond 100yds X 35yds X 6-12ft deep filled by
surface run off. there is about 10 orfe between 6ins and 18ins plus and
is in the UK, so far they seem to have failed to show any sign of
multiplying . TIA Robert

There is no reason why they should not be spawning now.

Warm weather and an early start, sun rise, and they should be away.

If you have plenty of plants then there is almost certainly eggs or fry in
your pond now.
