Ecosystem 3012, Good or bad system.

Hello,
I am new to Sal****er aquariums and to this newsgroup. I am converting my 72
gal freshwater tank to a reef tank and would appreciate some advise. I am in
the process of reading "The New Marine Aquarium" by Paletta. Other reading
sources would be appreciated.
My local aquarium retailer suggested a Ecosystem 3012 hang on filter system
for my setup. Your feedback would also be appreciated.

At this point I am planning on purchasing the above filter and a 300w
heater, live sand and the Cured live reef rock and allowing the system to
cycle before introducing fish. Oh and of course Sal****er : ).
