Huge new plant

[Cin1754]

I was given a plant from a friend, and we don't know what it is. It is quite
tall, looks like lilly pads, but they don't float on the water. They rise up
about 4 ft. into the air. She says a beautiful bloom flowers several times a
summer, and last about 3 days. Any help?
