pump recommendations

I'm using a 36G reef tank and want to replace the faulty RIO1700 return pump
should I go for the maximum output or should I just replace with a similar
output to the pump I'm replacing. I've 2 1.5" output pipes from the tank.
recommendations anyone.

You need to shhot for turning 360 gallons per hour. 1.5" piping is plenty.
One thing to calculate is drag lost by pipe length and bends.

Some hood pumps are Mag, Iwaki and Dolphin.
