Hi:

My friend has a pond that has only lilies in it. The water has turned a
redish brown color.

What could cause this?

THANKS-

============================
I had this color water in a kiddy pool that caught a lot of falling leaves.
The tannins from the leaves colored the water.

That would be my first guess, leaves, but if no leaves, does she let the
old pads and flowers decompose or does she dead head? Is there a filter,
does she do water changes? The later could take care of the brown water.
