OK, I posted earlier asking about snowflake eels escaping. I decided
not to get a snowflake, because I just didn't want to go through the
trouble of sealing my tank up really tight.
I've decided to get a green wolf eel instead. I've heard that since
they are not an actual eel, but a dottyback, they are less likely to
exhibit the same behavior (i.e. crawling out of a tank) than an actual
moray. Is this correct? Anyone have any experiences they can share?
My tank is pretty well sealed, anyway. Just a small opening on the
back to allow for filtration, heater, etc. I understand that this
would have been a problem for a snowflake but not for a green wolf
eel. Correct? I certainly hope so, because he is in my tank as I
speak. I put him in about an hour ago. So far, he is just hiding in
the live rock and not hitting the carpet.
Thanks...
