Why do I have cloudy water ?

Can someone unravel my mystery ??

I've always prided myself on having a crystal clear aquarium however
lately this has not been the case. I suspect the cause might be my
new aquarium rocks.

I picked up 6 or 7 ocean rocks off the beach (Fort Lauderdale,
Florida) 3 weeks ago and when I got home, I soaked them in hot (not
boiling) water for about a day.

My question is this: could these rocks be the cause of my cloudy water
? My water balance is near perfect, fish all happy etc, and my Fluval
404 cannister filter is practically brand new ...

Need your advice people !!!

What kinda test did you run on them to make sure they're not leeching
something? Vinegar? pH up or down, can't remember which will also make it
fizzle... whichever one... if it does, it's said not to be a good idea to
add....

Just for $hits and giggles, post your water specs, perfect is relative....

Bacteria... I'm wondering if the addition of this foreign material, or some
remnants of your cleaning barrage has caused a bacterial bloom. It should
clear up in a few days.
