Hi Eveyone,
I,m looking for a decent wave/surge controller for my reef tank and am
seeking opinions or advice on the most versatile model on the UK market.
I wanted to use a TUNZE multicontroller but i,ve heard these can only be
used to power only tunze powerheads.
Many thanks,
Paul.

avoid the system 2000 unit too. it wrecks the impellers on my Hagen 402's
within a couple of days. I just keep the powerheads on all the time.

I used S 2000 stuff with no problem on Maxijets, but the build quality isn't
good and they die after 3 years or so.
I'm now using an AquaSurge - it seems OK.
Fundamentally I wonder if you might not simply use a few multi switching
time switches and save lots - do corals actually care if the water movement
is truly random? I never switch off to feed the tank so that feature is
wasted.
Tunze's new pumps and control gear is 24v so it's a all or nothing choice
(and seeing as I didn't win the lottery this weekend I'll wait a while).
