Please don't post binary files to Usenet. Thanks!

Why,...I post them to people with computers all the time, with no
problem.

Binaries vs. Text
Usenet is a text medium, and some servers will automatically cancel
posts with binaries or html that are not destined for a binary group.
Even if your service doesn't filter them out, if your article travels
through one who does, it will disappear. A lot of news readers can't
read them, either, and the article ends up as row after row of
gibberish. Some people have to pay phone charges, so that dancing
chicken in your sig file can be costly. If you must post the photo of
your new grandchild or Corvette, find the appropriate binary group.

email - can accept anything, text or binaries
usenet - depends on if the news server allows binaries.. as such, the
aquaria groups DO NOT, but there IS a binary group for the aquarists. it is
alt.binaries.aquaria so go post over there and come here and tell us it's
there!!

Many, many folks in this big world still pay for online access by the
minute.
You are eating up their time without their permission or their knowing in
advance.

Usenet non binary groups are to be kept photo free.
Post a link to your photo, but not the photo itself.

If I can't post photographs here, then I guess I wouldn't be able to
post any of my artwork here either,...Something that I was planning to
do, after I take care of some important things at this end, like having
my heart worked on [for a blockage in the upper part]. I guess y'all
will just have to wait until I get things done here, so I can then start
posting cartoon-style artwork concerning freshwater fish, in that other
newsgroup, which I posted to on the same day that I posted here [But
even so, thank's for telling me about it.].
All my life I have either worked with or around, or had living with
me [invited] all sorts of life forms, from dogs and cats, horses and
cattle, to all kinds of exotics, including zoo animals [I was once a zoo
keeper], as well as tarantulas, scorpions, foot-long millipedes, snakes,
lizards, amphibians,...two wives [one at a time], and even some
birds,... But I am pretty much a novice with these aquatic creatures,
and would highly appreciate not only any help that you folks might
render to me, or sending me any cartoons that you might come across
featuring cartoon-style drawings of freshwater creatures [fish, frogs,
et cetera], that you can send directly to my e-mail page.
And if any of you folks request it, I can send you some of my
artwork, so that you can see what I can do,...at least the =A9stuff that
I have done as of late. Pax Vobiscum,...~Dean.

Papa: You can set up a Yahoo account for free, go to Yahoo Photos and post
as many pics there as you want. Then you come here and post the link that
people can use to go see the pics if they are interested. There are other
places than Yahoo where you can do the same thing.

Papa Red, there is an appropriate newsgroup for aquaria binaries -
alt.binaries.aquaria - see if WebTV carries it.

Christy, I am posting the URL to my art and stuff pages both here, and
am posting it directly to you, so that if others wish to see my
cartoons, illustrated covers, et cetera, they can. Just in case someone
doesn't know what an 'illustrated cover' is, it is a philatelic or stamp
collecting term, meaning a design or drawing on a 'cover', which is what
stamp collectors call the front of an envelope. Of my illustrated covers
shown, the illustration of the treehouse with the mailbox is my number
one favourite. Pax Vobiscum,...~Dean.
