pop-eye on male swordtail...?

okay, so the male swordtail that gets harrassed by the male guppy
seems to may have developed pop-eye. his eyes are protruding more
than any of the other fishes eyes. not to mention he is so small, i
mean he always was, but he is the size of the guppies. i'm worried
that perhaps this harrassment by the guppy has stressed him out and
caused him to develop pop-eye... is that possible? Hal is the fish
i've had the longest and i really don't want to lose him... :(

well, i checked my water levels last night and the ammonia was quite
high. so even thought it seemed like i had JUST performed a gravel
vac, i did another... there sure was a lotta poop and stuff that i
got up, so perhaps it was because i introduced all those fish at once
last week (5 neons, 1 dwarf gourami, 1 baby rainbow shark, and 2 julii
corydoras). i will hopefully check the levels tonight or tomorrow to
see how everything is coming along. i read that pop-eye can be caused
from stress (i.e. bullying or "bad" water parameters). i just hope
hal can make it through this. and i hope the other stupid fish stop
picking on him!!!!!!!!!!!! >:o\

I think you may have triggered another mini cycle... by adding more fish...
that's why it was suggested that you ONLY add a fish or two at a time...
