I am considering making a trickle filter for my 75 gallon. Aesthetics are
not really a concern, so I thought I'd make it an above-the-tank setup and
let gravity do the work. I have perused a number of articles via google
about materials etc., but am wondering just how big a pump I will need. I
am thinking the water will not be lifted more than 3 feet. I have a
Marineland 660 powerhead available. Will this be enough?

Thanks,
Mark

Not likely... you'll need something that pushes, not only the volume of
water, but the head pressure of the turns, elbows, etc... Some pond people
will be able to help, and some here too... I know enough to be
dangerous.... which in and of itself IS dangerous...
