I'd say most serious reefers would agree that AquaC skimmers are
top-notch. They're a bit spendy, but a good skimmer is IMO, the most
important bit of equipment you'll buy.

only the ones that have never tried a needle wheel (GEO, ASM, EuroReef), or
beckets (GEO, My Reef, PM) or Down Drafts (ETS).. Ive had Aqua-Cs that I traded
in for the above mentioned skimmers because I was unhappy with AQUA Cs
performance.

I generally don't mention needle-wheel Euroreef skimmers, I'd agree
they look and sound great, they should, considering the average
retail of the 125 gal rated ones is around half-a-grand, and up to
and over !!2000 dollars!!! and few hobbyists are willing to spend
that kind of money when other skimmers that cost much less deliver
performance sufficient for most applications. I'd say they're the
"balance" for those cheap skimmers that consist of a plastic tube and
an airstone, and cost 10 bucks. <g>
