Group FAQ and guidelines?

Is there a FAQ and Guidelines online somewhere? I've been trying to
post a question with a small JPEG, looking for plant ID help. Despite
numerous attempts to post, the post never appears so I can only assume
I'm either blacklisted or my post violates guidelines somewhere.

These groups are for text only
rec.aquaria.freshwater.cichlids
rec.aquaria.freshwater.misc
rec.aquaria.freshwater.plants

If you want to post pictures, post them here.
alt.binaries.aquaria -> notice the binary section?? it's not us, it's just
a rule, no binary files in text groups...

You'll find that if you post a pic in the binary group, you'll get a
response quicker when you text a rec group and mention that it's there... if
your looking for a plant ID, post a message in the rec. plant group, saying,
I've got this plant.... I've posted a pic in the binary group, blah blah....
and we'll all drop everything to run over there and see the spectacular
picture you've posted... it *WILL* be spectacular, right? just kidding..
hahaha LOL

Many people don't get the binaries group. Anyone who wants to can
email me tank shots, and I'll add them to a photo site I set up for
APD and RAFP:

Send me your pics, make sure to give me the name you want the shot
listed under. Please only send your own pics, not shots you
