Well the goldfish are pleased with a new 180Litre Juwel vision tank.
Washed the gravel...filtered water.
Added the water from the old tank ...to give it good bacteria.
Used all the right chemicals to protect the fish...added the tonic salts.
Added the fish a few hours later.
Is it normal for the tank water to look murky ?
I have also used a clear the water product which didnt work.
Does the water eventually get clearer ?
Why is it murky looking ?
Over 24 hours later....still looking murky...
I have also started the aeration pump to see if that makes any difference.
Any suggestions ?

The "milky" quality is bio bugs looking for new homes.

I agree with Donald. Also keep checking your parameters, depending on
how many fish you have you may see a fast ammonia spike!

So what do I do when the amonia spike hits.
Do I leave it or should I take action ?
and what action should I take ?

[you're gonna LOVE this...]
Water changes. Change the water (50% at a time) to keep the ammonia at
the lowest non-zero reading on your test kit.
Or, if you can put your hands on some AmQuel, that works too...

The water doesnt contain the bacteria. the bacteria live in colonies ON the
biomedia. Ingrid

I dont think he would be seeing the milky white of bacteria at this stage. this
wouldnt happen in 24 hours even if he'd been using biobugs in a bottle.
this sounds like something else. what, I really dont know, maybe something from the
gravel. Ingrid
