Hello

I have a 60inch wide 18 inch wide and 30 inch deep tank.

Im upgrading my lighting from 2x150W MH 6500K with 4x40W Atinic tubes

Im going to use 250W 10K halides now instead due to the depth of my tank but
what i want to ask is should i use 2 or 3 bulbs with the size of my tank.

In the Uk here they (Arcadia) do a twin 250W light with 2 NO tubes for
Atinics. I would add an atinic T5 set of tubes aswell.

I would prefer (wallet wise) to get a 2 bulb halide and then add extra T5
lights (white) later if i need to increase the wattage

Anyways what do you all think about that before i go and buy them...

Thanks in advance

Warren

PS in the meantime i am trawling through the 100's of posts re lights from
google

Two is fine. Your tank will be lit properly in the center 48", leaving you 6"
on each end with lesser lighting. That'll allow you to put low light species on
the ends.
