What does fin rot look like ?

Probably just a little anxious....
Two of my comets before I recieved them had a couple of concerns.
One had a slight fold in its tail fin.
The other had a piece out of it.

Will the fins be more succeptable to disease ?
Will they grow back to normal ?

Fin rot looks like blackening of the fin.

folds are not fin rot.
fin "rot" is almost always due to poor water quality. improve the quality and fins
regrow.
"shattering" is what I call when the fins overnight are split and huge chunks gone ..
I use the term cause this is what happens to old silk .. it shatters into ragged
splits. this is usually end stage for the fish.
