After debating, and thinking, and debating whether to take the plunge
into MH from VHO, I finally made the large investment in a chiller and
250 watt HQI MH fixture. Just fired it up and quite frankly it
overpowers my existing 460 watts of VHO to the point where it is sort
of distracting. Due to the fact that my tank is a 150 gallon
symmetric hex with a center overflow, I opted to place the MH
mini-pendant in one of the six corners of the tank. Thus about 1/3rd
of the tank looks very bright, and the remainder of the tank looks
kind of dark. Also I noticed that the 10,000K Aqualine bulb looks a
little yellowish. Anyway, I am in the process of setting up a 1/2 hp
pacific coast chiller, and will post my impressions once I get it up
and running.

I just switched from 12,000k sunbursts to 10,000k Ushios & the Ushio is
a bit too yellow for me.
