I have a Jewel 750 litre tank, with a sandy bottom instead of gravel.
All the plants I have in the tank are artificial, but I continue to
get major problems with algae on the glass and develpoing all over the
plants. Any ideas how I can permanently get rid of it please?

Apart from water changes you have nothing to remove the inevitable build up
of Nitrates & Phosphates which is what Algae thrives on
Pack it full of real plants which will consume these & over a period of time
the Algae will die back as it starves.

Hiya
I haven't been keeping fish tanks for a while (+ - a year). When I
started I also had algea problems and soon realised that if I change
the water regularly it would help, and also if you maybe bought an
aglea eater or two (plecostumus would be good for a tank of that size)
it would really help you. Well I hope I have helped.

Problem being, Pleco's get BIG!!!!!!!!!!! (12 inches) Though that
would't be a serious worry in a 750l (200 gal) tank, but once they
get to a certain size, many Pleco's stop eating algae, and lust for
more interesting foods. I'd recomend more frequent water changes to
keep nitrates and phosphates down, and some SAE's, or an army of
Oto's.

How big is your tank???
The biggest Juwel have ever made TMK is the new Vision 450L.
To get rid of algae cut down the light, cut down excess nutrients and/or add
algae eaters.
