I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help my with my sick
goldfish.
He (or she?) is alone in a 3 gallon Eclipse tank with a "bio wheel" filter.
He's about 4" long (including the tail).
Symptoms:
1. He's leaned over to his right side.
2. Doesn't seem to be able to move his fins. He can only move his left
front fin.
3. His lips are bright red.
4. The tips of his tail are discolored (greyish)
5. Very lethargic.
6. A poop has been hanging behind him for a few days.
7. I've not fed him in two days.
8. I tried to feed him a pea, but he wasn't interested. He spit it out.
Thank you.

How's the water condition? PH, Nitrate, ammonia etc...? Do you de-chlorinate
the water at changes?
Can be fin rot and fungus, get medication at the Pet Store, follow
instruction.
3 gallons seems too small of tank for that size of fish, you stressing it
out.

EMERGENCY
1. check the water parameters: pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrates
2. do the fish physical
3. change some or all of the water
4. from the water parameters and physical decide on a course of action
5. if there is nothing specific, do the tub to tub method

Thanks for the tips. I'll follow up on them.
BTW, the 3 gallon tank seemed to be a good size when Fishie was cute and
little at the time of purchase. I've read that goldfish won't too big for
thier tank. Obviously that's not the case here.
Thanks!

Goldfish do get big, when people say goldfish will grow to the size
of the tank, that is called stunting and is extremely unhealthy for
them.
