Can someone give me some feedback on the performance of the aqua medic
1000 reactor's.

Best skimmer I've owned, very little adjustment needed, get the ocean runner
pump, not the RIO with the needle wheel. Also you will need a good
return/2nd pump to get the water into the thing, the ocean runner only does
the circulation. Oh and it needs a fair sized sump.
I made one mod to mine, to have the skimmate dumped into another container
(a hole in the side of skimmate collection cup and a small tube). This was
because the skimmate cup would regularly fill up over the course of a week.
Also I find it to be very low maintenance (cleaning etc).
