Hi,

I am going to Hong Kong soon and obviously my visit will include the Tung
Choi street where there are tons of fishshops. From what I've been
reading this should be truly remarkeble. So, I cannot stop thinking that
I will find the most wonderfull goldfish from there and want to bring it
back to Europe. However I think it might not be so obvious to bring 1 or
a couple of fish back home. Not only the 12 hours flight, but also, I
cannot just pack it in my backpack I guess.
Has anyone endeavoured something like this before ? I suppose there must
also be some regulations on transporting live-stock.

Any opinions, experiences are welcome. Thanks.

Krist.

Buy the fish the day of departure or the night before. Double bag the fish
and put them in a sturdy box and then in your backpack. As for regulations,
you'll need to check your country's policy. All I was required to do was to
fill out a form (in the US).

You'll also want to look through each store carefully. Many of the harder
to find breeds were in the top tops or towards the back of the store. You
may also want to bargain since it is an acceptable practice.

most people dont have good luck buying and bringing fish home. dont spend a lot of
money on them just try it out first to see if you can do it. be sure you follow all
your country's importation rules and the rules of the airline. Ingrid
