Ok, so it's not Acne.

My largest GF has a white spot on his snout between his lips and his
nostril. It is white and appears to be loose skin. Is this a parasite or has
he been wrestling with the ornaments again? There is no sign of blood and he
seems fine otherwise. He's had this for a while, but the spot seems to be
getting bigger. The spot is about the sise of a pencil tip and the GF is
about 8".

How about that for coincidence ?

I moved Dyson (our small tench) from the pond to the tank two days ago.
In a nutshell, he panicked and I think he banged himself on a rock.
He also has a white mark on his snout and bottom lip.
I hope it's not fungus 'cos of the stress :-(

Yes Panfry and his mates were moved about two weeks ago as well. They were a
little stressed at first, but seem to be adjusting now. They are no longer
one solid mass of GF and are coming to the top to eat again. I'm pretty sure
he had this in the old tank as well, but it seems bigger/looser now. The
water quality was not the best in the old tank, so perhaps it's actually
healing up.
