Want to protect my goldfish pond from acting as a fish farm for the
herons. What size mesh should I use? Do not want it to be too visible so
what is the maximum/minimum size mesh?

bird netting works great. I got mine stretched nice and tight across my pond and I
forget it is there. mostly mine is to keep my fish in and the birds who would be
pooping into the water out. Ingrid

Anything should be sufficient. If the birds can see it then generally
they will stay away. Even some fishing line across the pond in a
crisscross pattern should suffice.
