Dual blueline e-ballast

My sinlge 175w MH ballast fried out last night. I want to replace it
with a blueline e-ballast. I was thinking of upgrading my system to a
dual 175s, but just wasnt planning on doing so right away. I would
like to but a dual ballast and run only one bulb on it for the time
being.

Will a dual 175w Blueline e-ballast fire up a single bulb?

Yes, it will. What you'll find on these "dual" ballasts is that they are
actually two separate ballasts in the same enclosure.
