I have a fish medication which is composed of Methylene Blue and
Formaldehyde.

Is Methylene Blue (MB) similar to, or as good as Malachite Green?

(The reason I ask is because Puregold.com recommends a treatment composed of
Mal. Green and Formaldehyde, I cant seem to find it in the UK, Only MB.)

MB will definitely kill your biofilter. but malachite green has some possibility for
mutagenesis but not MB. so move your biofilter to a tub OR, treat the fish in a
large tub. Ingrid
