Sluggish fish

[Tom Puskar]

I brought in some of my pond fish for the Winter and found one that is very
sluggish. It seems to struggle to swim and drops to the bottom and lays
there. It ate when I fed them but it doesn't look well. There are no signs
of surface disturbance on its scales and the gills look a little reddish but
not much different than some of the others in my tanks.

There was a lot of vegetation in my pond so I couldn't see all of the fish
all of the time so I have no idea how long this fish has been like this.

Any ideas? This is the first fish that looks like it is in jeopardy. Can
someone recommend a good web site, book or article on fish diseases and
maladies?

I know what it's like as I lost one of my shubunkin after he came in from
the pond, now one of the orfe babies isn't looking too great :-(
