According to ng's and various boards, the filters as supplied with Juwel
tanks aren't great for goldfish (shubs, comets, etc).
The filter in my Rio 400 is a Jumbo size 8ltr biofilter with 2 coarse
sponge, 2 fine sponge, 1 carbon sponge, and 1 floss.
The powerhead is rated at 1000 lph.
What would folk here suggest for additional filteration ?
Bearing in mind the current is quite strong as it is, and I don't want to
create a whirlpool :-)
I've thought about replacing the whole juwel filter (box and all) with a
cannister filter, but I've got fish in it right now.
If I did use a cannister without removing the tank filter box, how would
return the hose at that side?
TIA
Peter
