Chalky water

I've replaced some Corals and Volcanic stones to my Biofilter and the water
in the tank turn out to be chalky for the last 3 days.However my 5 Runchus
look fine.Can anyone advise me if it's normal ,and how long it take before
the water go back to normal?

Try checking your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. I am no
expert, but chalky water can be a sign of an ammonia spike.

if it looks like shifting clouds of white it is biofilter bacteria looking for a
home. usually there wont be a problem with the water quality. I have had this
happen when I forgot to replug the tank heater after a water change. Ingrid
