I have a 10 gallon with about 8 lbs of live rock, two clownfish some snails
(although I've had trouble with my snails) and three hermit crabs.

10 gallon aquarium need to establish in exactly the same, if you are one of a larger tank. If you want to buy your fish placed in a 10 gallon aquarium to survive, you first need to do is actually create a proper environment for them first.
